Why Remote Design Works (and Works Well)
Most people imagine landscape design as something that requires someone to physically
walk their property. Yes, there is value to this (and we do offer the option for us to travel for on-site consultation), however, the truth is: we do not need to stand in your garden to design one that thrives. In fact, many of the most important elements such as what plants are native to your area, what edibles will best grow based on the light conditions of your yard, existing plant life to work with, et cetera, can all be observed, measured, and mapped remotely. As you also are onsite on your property, the information that you provide us (and we can ask specific information that we may be looking for) allow us what we need to know to create you a beautiful and functional landscape design.
Through a combination of the best-quality aerial photography (utilizing a service sharper than Google Maps), multiple local resources, your on-site photos, and our conversations with you, we get an incredibly detailed sense of your space and know how to best work with it.
What We Ask From You
You don’t need to be tech-savvy. We guide you through every step:
Snap photos from key angles of your gardens (and we can help tell you which).
Tell us your dreams, goals, and challenges.
Share any photos of inspiration that you love.
From there, we create a fully-scaled landscape design that incorporates native plants from your region, permaculture strategies, if desired, and layered plantings to ensure seasonal interest, habitat, functionality, and of course, beauty.
